About
This mini-section of my site grew with my music collection. Originally, the 'About Me' section of my main site, SIBX.com, listed a few bands that I liked and listened to regularly.
In time, the list of bands grew and I began to keep a database containing details of all the music that I owned (everything I listen to is legally purchased). Periodically, I would output a report from this and upload and link to it from the About Me page.
I also uploaded a playlist generated using Winamp to list all of the tracks I listen to.
Now, I decided to expand the section further and make the database fully available online. Data has been exported from the original Access database to a MySQL clone of it, allowing me to develop this PHP-driven site. Developing it has also helped me to advance my knowledge of PHP and developing using DIV/CSS layouts. No tables are used for the layout of this section.
In time the categories on the left may well change depending on how many items fill up certain parts, particularly the Miscellaneous items.
