Just a small note really.
Today I rode in the Doncaster Bikeathon, to raise money for the Leukaemia Research Fund. I started in the second group of riders, 5 minutes behind the first, and went on to finish first. :D.

I'm still alive and well, just been fairly busy. Well, stuff has been going steadily anyway.
I have a few things lined up, and I've done a few photoshoots and candid party/event photography type things recently, although I can't post these online for privacy reasons. Got a couple of commissions from these, so hopefully they'll go well. I'm getting nervous thinking about it. Eek!
Trying to finish up the back-end of this website, as I've managed to lsoe all the admin files, both from the server and from my local hard drive. If you've experienced problems on the site over the past few days...you now know why.
I'm going to take advantage of the weather over the next few days. Hopefully I will have some things to post soon from local areas such as High Melton, Conisbrough and others.

Yesterday and today I've taken some days out for a break. Yesterday, I went off to York, armed with my D70, 18-70 lens and Circular Polariser, and a 50mm 1.8 prime lens.

Okay, all my first semester assignments are out of the way, so I've got plenty of free time on my hands!
I just received my 50mm 1.8 lens and my first impressions are that it is great. For the price (£100), it is incredible.
Expect some more updates over the coming weeks, in terms of photos, and hopefully I will get the search feature finished soon.

Well, I finally went out and bought a digital SLR. Having tried both the Nikon D70, the Canon 300D and 20D and the Pentax *istD, I chose the Nikon. It felt perfect in my hands, is an ideal weight and has all the features that I need.
You can find a picture of the camera here. I bought it with the kit lens (18-70 f3.5-4.5 DX), and I plan to get a half-decent telephoto lens soon.
No photos from it yet, as the weather has been overcast for the past few days, so the lighting has been too dull and flat to provide any ideal photo opportunities. I hope to get some decent shots soon.

All of the photos have now been updated to include all of the technical details. Took me less time than I thought it would, although I have taken longer than I said originally. I do apologise for that!
Also, I will hopefully be getting a digital SLR within the next couple of weeks, all going well. I've pretty much made my mind up which camera I will be getting. You'll find out when I get it. :P
Finally, I now have a Print account over at DeviantArt. I've uploaded two prints so far, and have added links to these in the respective photos on this site.

What's this? Two news items in one day? Yes!
I have left the technical details out of quite a few photos. I will be adding these over the weekend. It takes a while to search out original photos and extract the information from them.
